We used to throw parties in a church hall. At the end of the night we would hang out in the basement. One night we found a bingo kit down there and started messing around with it. Things got out of control, and it ended up as a mental bingo party. We had invented a new form of bingo - Rebel Bingo. We were drunk. We knew it was wrong, but it felt good. We weren't supposed to be there, in the basement, and we definitely weren't supposed to be experimenting with bingo. We had found somewhere we belonged. Somewhere we could do what we wanted to, where noone was watching. We called it The Underground Rebel Bingo Club.
We were hooked. We needed it. We started meeting more and more. Word spread. Our numbers started to grow. People in other cities started asking us to come and have meetings there - so we went. We went wherever it took us.
The old skool bingo community heard stories about our Rebel Bingo parties - about how it's not about gambling - about the noise - the screams - the emotion - they were not happy. They think we are desecrating their boring old game. They want to make us "disappear". They are old, angry, influential and ruthless - like an OAP mafia. So, we have to keep our shizzle on the down low. We meet under the cover of darkness to indulge in our secret passion and use cunning cover stories to disguise our meetings.
You won't see us but we're everywhere. You won't hear us but we're right behind you. We're everywhere and nowhere, but wherever we are we're playing dirty secret hardcore Rebel Bingo on the down low.
We know it's wrong.
But it feels so right.
And they can't stop us.
